The Rapina Chamber Choir was started in 1988. Since that time, the choir has been regularly perfoming on the enterprices of Rapina community (e.g. The Rapina Days, The Day of Independance, Christmas, Midsummer). The choir has also perfomed in surrounding communities (Varska, Mikitamae) at similar occacions. At least once a year the choir has performed with a full length program.
During the years there has also been several concert tours outside Estonia (in Finland, The Netherlands, Germany, and Russia), the choir has taken part to song festivals (like the all-estonian singing festival in Tallinn, the singing days of various counties, Peipsi-counties festival, Uma Pido 2010, etc.). The choir has many times taken part to the „Tuljak“ singing competion and has also won several awards there. The active choir is allways eager to accept invitations to perform on on all cultural events in Räpina or in Polva county, and has also from time to time organized some itself. The choir will take part to the Uma Pido 2013 and will this autumn also start preparing for the 2014 National Song Festival in Tallinn.
